Mouton appointed as NamPost CEO

The NamPost Board of Directors has appointed Willem Mouton as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 August 2026.

His tenure will run for a period of five-years. 

Mouton currently serves as NamPost’s Chief Operating Officer and brings extensive leadership experience in operations, business development and corporate management, the company said in a statement on Friday.

 Prior to joining NamPost, he served as Chief Executive Officer for the United Africa Group and previously held the position of Head of Business Development at

Nampro Fund.

Simeon Amunkete, Board Chairperson, said: “The Board is delighted to appoint Mr. Mouton as Chief Executive Officer. His proven leadership, extensive executive experience and deep understanding of NamPost’s operations make him exceptionally well placed to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and transformation.”

Mouton holds an MBA in Organisational Leadership from the University of

Roehampton in the United Kingdom, an MBA in Business/Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch, and a Higher Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Polytechnic of Namibia.

Mouton succeeds Eldorette Harmse, Executive: Legal Services,

Governance & Compliance who has served as Acting Chief Executive

Officer since 1 September 2025, following the retirement of Festus

Hangula.
