Namibia -Kenya Business Forum President Elvis Mboya says the annual forum which held its latest chapter in Windhoek  last week has potential to open open opportunities for both Namibian and Kenyan business people to a market of more than 500 million in Eastern and Southern Africa.

In a statement Mboya said the Kenya Trade & Tourism Mission held from 6 to 12 September 2026, concluded successfully, bringing together Kenyan private sector leaders, government agencies and Namibian institutions for a week of high level engagements, business connections, benchmarking, tourism experiences and investment opportunities.

Organised by Namibia-Kenya Chamber of Commerce (NKCC), in partnership with Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and Namibia Honorary Consul in Kenya, as part of efforts to strengthen Kenya Namibia economic relations, the Mission connected delegates across key sectors including ICT, digital transformation, energy, mining, wildlife, tourism, industry, trade and logistics,” Mboya said.

Mboya reiterated that the mission came to Namibia with a clear goal to improve trade synergies.

“We came to Namibia with a clear purpose: to open doors, build relationships and identify practical opportunities for Kenyan and Namibian businesses to work together. The Mission was designed to complement the efforts of both governments by bringing business and institutions closer together.”Mboya said

He said the engagements provided an opportunity for delegates to understand Namibia’s operating environment, explore areas for collaboration, benchmark experiences and identify opportunities for market access, investment and technical cooperation.

“Our approach was to go beyond dialogue. We wanted to identify gaps, understand where the opportunities are and establish practical institutional and commercial partnerships that can continue after the Mission,” Mboya said
