Only five Namibian companies make it to Namida’s next trading list

Namib Desert Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (NAMDIA) has selected 32 companies that they will sell diamonds to in the financial year   2026/27 to 2028/29 period with only five Namibian companies making the list.

Public Relations & Communications Officer,Beverley Coussement on Tuesday said the selection process attracted 75 applications from companies across the globe, underscoring the continued international confidence in the quality and value of Namibian natural diamonds.

The Namibian companies that made it are Avalon Diamonds Namibia,  Gayane Trading ,Fine Star Jewellery and Diamonds Namibia PTY LTD , Sinco Investments and Stargems Manufacturing Namibia PTY 

“Applications were received from Namibia, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore, the United States of America (USA), Armenia and Zimbabwe, making this one of NAMDIA’s most competitive client selection processes to date,” she said.

She said the  32 companies have been selected to form NAMDIA’s new client base for the next three years.

“NAMDIA congratulates all successful applicants and looks forward to building strong, transparent and mutually beneficial partnerships over the coming three years. The company extends its appreciation to every organisation that applied. The calibre of applications received reflects the strong international demand for access to Namibia’s exceptional natural diamonds. While not all applicants could be accommodated, NAMDIA encourages interested companies to participate in future client selection processes when applications reopen,” she said.

Coussement said NAMDIA remains committed to maximising long-term value from the country’s diamond resources through responsible marketing, sound governance and strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic development.
