Walvis Bay Corridor Group Chief Executive Officer Hipi Tjivikua will take over the same position at Roads Authority in a month.

He will replace Conrad Lutombi who is retiring.

Tjivikua confirmed his appointment to Namibia Business Review on Wednesday.

“Yes it is true , Thanks a lot for the congratulations buddy,” Tjivikua said.

Tjivikua is a prominent Namibian business executive and leader in the transport and logistics industry.

He has over two decades of leadership experience across strategic operations, stakeholder management, and project implementation.

Tjivikua’s long association with the WBCG began in 2008 when he served as a Project Manager for the Safe Trade and Transport Corridors project. In October 2019.

He worked as a Marketing Researcher at Cubellis Associates Inc. and a Business Development Consultant at Global Strategic Resources in the United States.

He also held several senior roles at the national rail carrier, TransNamib, including Senior Manager: Operations, Executive: Strategy and Stakeholder Management, and Executive for Commercial and Marketing. He also served as the interim acting CEO of TransNamib.Tjivikua also serves as a part-time lecturer in Business Management, Strategic Leadership, and Quality Management Systems, sharing his expertise with future leaders.
