Thirty young people, fromthe  ǁKharas Region will  receive seed capital of N$5000 to start sustainable businesses from the MTC 4 Life 2026 programme.

The programme aims to help  young Namibians with practical skills and tools to start a business.

Mtc said they will target self-employed and unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35.

MTC Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer, Tim Ekandjo, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to national development.

“We aim to invest in initiatives that change lives, empower youth, and contribute to building a Namibia that future generations can be proud of. Programmes like MTC 4 Life are about creating real opportunities and enabling young people to shape their own futures,” he said.

MTC will also offer seven days of intensive practical training to participants, in trades such as Hairdressing, Barbering, Baking, Leatherwork, Sewing, and Cell Phone Repair.

Each trade will accommodate up to five trainees or more to ensure focused mentorship and proper skills transfer.

Each beneficiary will receive a starter toolkit for their chosen trade and a seed grant of N$5 000 to help them start or grow their micro-enterprises.

The programme will begin in April and will be rolled out in collaboration with regional stakeholders to ensure that selected youth benefit fully from the programme.
