Oesa Civil Engineering has appointed Sethu Kalili as the Acting Chief Commercial and Technical Officer, effective 1 August 2025.
Kalili will be responsible for strategically directing the company’s Commercial and Technical Services Department, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Commenting on the appointment, Otesa Civil Engineering Chief Executive Officer, Elmo Kaiyamo said lauded Kalili’s leadership and proven capabilities.
“Her dedication and professional expertise will provide stability and direction during this transitional period, while ensuring that OTESA continues to deliver on its commitments to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction,”
he said.
He added that, “This role ensures the profitable execution of construction projects by overseeing business development, contract management, cost control, and project engineering. The CCTO plays a crucial role in driving strategic growth, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships.”
Kaiyamo added that the appointment aligns with OTESA’s high-level statements and strategic plan.
The company said Kalili’s mandate also includes enhancing efficiency, optimising operational performance, promoting technological innovation, and fostering a high-performance culture in support of OTESA’s long-term vision.
Kalili joined OTESA on 1 November 2024. She is a qualified Civil Engineer with a Postgraduate Degree in Project and Construction Management, boasting over 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
Her expertise spans general contracting, design and drafting, fit-out work, and subcontracting across the private, residential, and mining sectors. She has worked extensively in construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, process implementation, and management.
Her most notable achievements include her international presence in construction, having participated in projects throughout South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, and Kenya, while also expanding her experience beyond Africa. She has supervised renewable energy and infrastructure projects in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the USA, and successfully managed renovations, refurbishments, and maintenance projects many of which were executed remotely.
