Namibia, India discuss further strengthening defence engagement

Air Vice Marshal Teofilus Shaende, Commander of the Namibian Air Force, met with his Indian counterpart, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, the Vice Chief of Air Staff in New Delhi, India.
The Indian Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information, said on its social media pages that the primary focus of their discussions was to further strengthen bilateral defence engagement, with a particular emphasis on enhanced training cooperation and capability building.

Earlier in the day, Shaende also paid tribute to India’s fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in Delhi, reflecting deep respect and enduring friendship between the two nations.
India and Namibia share warm and cordial relations, with Namibia viewing India as a dependable and trusted friend. India’s support during Namibia’s liberation struggle is also warmly recalled by Namibian leaders.
