The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) and South African Airways (SAA) hosted a high-impact B2B networking on Tuesday.
The event brought together influential travel leaders and operators from 15 African nations.
NTB Spokesperson Flora Quest said the initiative aimed to transition regional interest into tangible, market-ready tourism packages.
“The networking session featured representatives from a diverse array of markets, including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Rwanda, among others. By connecting local Namibian operators with these regional power players, the NTB, are actively fostering a collaborative ecosystem designed to increase visitor arrivals from across the continent,” she said.
Charmaine Matheus, Head of Marketing at the Namibia Tourism Board said firsthand experience is the most powerful tool in a marketer’s arsenal. “Many of our partners have been selling Namibia for years without ever having set foot on our soil,” said Matheus.
She added that “We aren’t just neighbors; we are collaborators in one of the most vibrant industries in the world. It is one thing to tell someone about a country, but another to have them experience it themselves. Our goal is to build stronger bridges. Namibia and Africa have incredible stories to tell, but they travel further when we work together.”
The session transcended traditional leisure travel, diving into critical pillars for economic growth.
