President Nandi-Ndaitwah has relieved Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Natangwe Ithete from his duties with immediate effect.

A statement released by the Presidency said “The President of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has, in
accordance with Article 32(6) of the Constitution of the Republic of Namibia, made an executive decision to relieve Honourable Natangwe Ithete of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, with immediate effect.”
They added they “In the interest of ensuring continuity and effective coordination within this key sector,President Nandi-Ndaitwah will assume responsibility for the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, effective immediately.”
The President expressed appreciation to Ithete for his service to the
Government and people of Namibia.
He will continue to serve as a Member of
Parliament.
“The Presidency reaffirms its commitment to sound governance, accountability, and the
effective implementation of national priorities in pursuit of Namibia’s shared vision of sustainable and inclusive development,” the statement said.
