The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Swakopmund Branch has elected a new Executive Committee.
The new leadership now includes Chairperson Caroline Maswabi-Sibungo , Vice Chairperson, Carin Ziegel and the rest of the executive committee including, Jerusa Hangula, Gawie Roodt, Moses Helao, Immanuel Hamadziripi and Bertha Iitana
The election took place on 1 July at a local hotel.
Councillor Heinrich Hafeni who delivered remarks on behalf of the Mayor of Swakopmund highlighted the strategic importance to elect a leadership that will guide the Chamber for the next two years.
“We are reminded of the critical role the NCCI plays in shaping a resilient and inclusive
business environment across Namibia,” Hafeni noted.
Meanwhile Maswabi-Sibungo expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead the business community. She pledged to continue strengthening collaboration between the private sector and local authority leadership to ensure that policies and strategies are conducive to investment and entrepreneurship.
