Shetekela vowed to promote entrepreneurship and contribute to building a supportive local business ecosystem.
“I am honoured by the trust placed in me. I intend to leverage my networks and experience to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs and help shape a thriving, inclusive business community,” he stated.
The meeting brought together entrepreneurs from across Tsumeb to elect a new Executive Committee.
According to NCCI the team will be responsible for championing local business interests and aligning with the Chamber’s broader strategic agenda.
The EGM was convened under the supervision of the NCCI Secretariat and overseen by Board Member, Parastus Nepolo.
The meeting was formally opened by the Deputy Mayor of the Tsumeb Municipality, Anmire Garises, who expressed her delight at seeing Tsumeb entrepreneurs gathered with a shared commitment to shaping a new path forward.
She further emphasised that structures like the NCCI are essential platforms for ensuring that entrepreneurs are not only coordinated but also empowered to engage with the government in a proactive and solution-oriented manner.
“However, as we all know, structures alone do not drive change – it is the people who lead them that determine their impact, ” she added.
