The Old Mutual Foundation has announced the top three winners of the Omusati Region edition of the Old Mutual Sustainable, Economic and Empowerment Drive (OM SEED). They are Sakeus Npiwashimwe, founder of Ndipwa Trading cc, whose crop and feed production business supports food security and promotes sustainable farming practices in the region in first place, Petrus Daniel of Etunda GSP, an agricultural and horticulture venture that is greening the region while creating income-generating opportunities for surrounding communities in second place and Wilhelmine Komesho Amupolo, founder of Genesis Farming Enterprises,in  third place with her poultry business that supplies fresh eggs and chicken meat.

Mignon du Preez, Group Marketing, Public Affairs and Sustainability Executive at Old Mutual Namibia thanked the entrepreneurs for their hard work. 

“The Omusati winners remind us that the future of sustainable development lies in the soil, the hands of hard-working entrepreneurs, and the communities they serve. Their commitment to feeding their region while building thriving enterprises is a powerful example of growth rooted in purpose,”she said.

 Old Mutuals said each of the winners will receive seed capital, tailored business support, and one-on-one mentorship to help scale their impact and strengthen their contribution to the Namibian economy.

The 2025 edition drew 116 entries across four focus regions: Omusati, Kunene, Otjozondjupa, and Omaheke. Winners were selected through a robust process involving interviews, business assessments, and site visits, in partnership with the Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
