The Namibia Institute of Pathology Limited (NIP)has handed over a duplicator machine to Omaandi Combined School, located in the Tsandi Circuit, Omusati Region.
This donation, procured at a value of over N$61,000 is part of NIP’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme, specifically under the Education and Skills Development pillar, and is intended to support the timely preparation of learning
and assessment materials.
In a statement released last week NIP said the initiative follows a formal request from Omaandi Combined School, which identified the lack of duplication equipment as a major operational hurdle.
NIP said the donation reaffirms its commitment to education as a critical enabler of sustainable community development and reinforces its role as a responsible corporate citizen.
“In terms of impact and expected benefits, the duplicator is anticipated to enhance operational efficiency by enabling rapid production of teaching and assessment materials, thereby reducing the administrative burden on teachers. It is expected to contribute to more consistent delivery of learning resources and improved classroom experiences,” NIP said in a statement.
They said the donation also supports a rural school serving 334 learners from pre-primary to Grade 9 and 15 teachers, strengthening daily operations and learner
outcomes in a resource-constrained setting.
At the handover, representative of NIP, Ndeshipewa Hamatui-Valombola stated: “While our core mandate is diagnostic pathology services, we recognise that strong health systems are built on strong communities. Education is fundamental to that equation. Through this donation, we aim to contribute practically to our shared mission of sustainable community development.”
School Principal, Lemisia David expressed appreciation to NIP for the support.
