Founding Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director-General Paulus  Noa officially stepped down today  (Thursday 30 September) after serving at the helm of the institution for more than 20 years.

Noa will hand over the leadership of the ACC to newly appointed Director-General Dr Bryan Eiseb on 1 October 2026.

Interim ACC spokesperson Marina Matundu on Friday said the handover would mark a new chapter in the history of the Commission.

“After serving as the founding Director-General of the ACC for twenty (20) years and several months, Mr Noa will formally hand over the leadership of the Commission, marking the conclusion of a significant chapter in the history of the institution,” Matundu said.

She said the occasion would also provide an opportunity to recognise Noa’s longstanding service, leadership and contribution to the establishment, development and institutional growth of the ACC since its inception.

Eiseb will formally begin his tenure as Director-General following the handover.

Matundu said Eiseb would assume responsibility for providing leadership, strategic direction and oversight of the Commission as it continues with its statutory mandate to prevent and combat corruption and promote integrity, transparency and accountability in Namibia.

“The leadership transition represents an important milestone and welcomes the incoming Director-General as he assumes leadership of the Commission,” Matundu said.
