Namibia Post Limited (NamPost), Acting Executive for Marketing, Business Development and Communications Gladwin Groenewaldt says they have added two supplementary days for the payment of children grants.
Groenewaldt released a statement on Wednesday saying the in-branch (Post Office) payout supplementary dates will be Friday, 9 January 2026 and Saturday, 10 January 2026 for beneficiaries of the Child Cash Grant only.
He said this is in response to requests from beneficiaries.
“ This initiative aims to provide timely financial assistance to families, enabling them to address their children’s needs as the 2026 school year approaches. It is important to note that this is a supplementary payment exclusively for Child Cash Grant beneficiaries to collect their grants at all NamPost Post Offices nationwide,” he said.
The normal In-Branch (Post Office) Social Cash Grant Payment Schedule, which was previously communicated on our various communication channels will continue unchanged and include NamPost SmartCard Recipients on 6 to 8 January 2026, Old Age and Disability Grants on 12 to 14 January 2026, Child Cash Grants from 15 to 17 January 2026 and Basic Income Cash Grants from 19 to 20 January 2026.
“Beneficiaries are strongly advised to adhere to the established schedule, as assistance will not be provided outside the specified dates. To minimise unnecessary travel, it is important to note that Mobile Payment Teams commenced operations on the 6th of January 2026, and distribution of payments at paypoints will continue as announced on radio,” Groenewaldt said.
He said NamPost remains dedicated to ensuring that beneficiaries can access their grants in a safe, convenient and dignified manner.
