The committee will be led by  Alex Gawanab as the chairperson and Daniel Hooft as the vice-chairperson.

Both leaders are from the Lüderitz business community, representing the fishing industry and the emerging kelp-linked sector, respectively.

The rest of the committee members include, Cicely Burgers, Samuehl Fluksman, Maria Mbudhi, Bartholomeus Tjandja, Michael McKenzie, and Aina Petrus.

Gawanab emphasised that Lüderitz possesses all the resources it needs to drive economic growth in the town and the wider ǁKaras Region through both established industries and emerging sectors.
