Deep Yellow Namibia (DYN) Managing Director, Zebra Kasete, has been elected as Vice-Chair of the Namibian Uranium Association (NUA).
NAU is the representative body of Namibia’s uranium industry and NUA serves as the unified voice of the country’s uranium sector and works to promote the responsible and sustainable development of Namibia’s uranium resources.
The Association facilitates collaboration among its members and engages with government, regulators, communities, educational institutions, and other stakeholders on matters affecting the industry.
The NUA contributes significantly to the growth and sustainability of Namibia’s mining sector and the national economy.
The Association also works closely with the Namibian Uranium Institute (NUI) to advance industry knowledge, capacity building, and best practices.
The NUA is governed by a Board of Directors comprising the Chief Executive Officers of member companies in Classes A to D, together with the Executive Director of the NUI. The Association follows a rotational leadership model whereby the Vice-Chair assumes the position of Chairperson every second year, and a new Vice-Chair is elected. This governance approach ensures broad representation and leadership across the uranium industry.
As Vice-Chair, Zebra will form part of the NUA’s executive leadership team, helping to guide the strategic direction of the Association and supporting initiatives that strengthen Namibia’s position as one of the world’s leading uranium-producing nations. He will work closely with the current
Chairperson and fellow board members to address industry priorities, promote responsible mining practices, and foster constructive stakeholder partnerships.
Zebra’s election to this role reflects both his leadership within our organisation and the respect he has earned among industry peers. It also underscores our company’s continued commitment to contributing positively to the advancement of Namibia’s uranium sector.
Please join us in congratulating Zebra on this significant achievement and wishing him every success in his new role.
